LUCKY CHARMS

Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue. While we weren't getting ready for a wedding we had a lifetime of lucky charms and collectables to work into this Shelley Beach refurbishment.

The Brief

The brief was to spruce up this much loved 80s beach house but to keep as many of the owners existing treasures as possible. One of my favourite things to do is to find a way to integrate a clients own things into a new house creation. It's not always easy and there's often plenty of debates about what should stay, but the end result is a place full of character and a new way to look at old items. A few removed walls to create space, timber bifolds to bring the outside in, warming timbers and creative upholstery has produced a classic beachside home with endless warmth and charm.

The Testimonial

"Claire had the imagination to create a space that is full of character while feeling spacious and homely. She took our pieces and reimagined them in ways we hadn't thought of before which gave new life to our much-loved things. Our home is bright, warm and airy and feels like it has received as much love throughout this renovation as our family has provided it over the years."
